Abstract

The Davenport-Rock Island-Moline Urbanized Area Transportation Study is unique in so far as it involves the consolidation of two similar but not identical origin- destination studies; one of which was made in 1961 and the other in 1964. It was necessary early in the study, therefore, to define some of the procedures to be used in consolidating these data. The general methodology, where it is not specifically defined in accepted manuals covering this type of work, is set forth in identical agreements entered into between the Consultant and both the Illinois and Iowa study groups.
