Abstract

This bulletin emphasizes the importance of developing standards for testing sewer pipe and drain tile against defects and to determine what weight loads on pipe in ditches can be safely carried. The failure of agricultural drains may ruin the farmer's crops, and the failure of a sewer may endanger the health of a neighborhood.
