Abstract
The Iowa Department of Transportation has initiated many of the activities that create a successful transportation research program. As the organization changed over the years with related agencies coming in under the umbrella of the Iowa Department of Transportation, activities that make up research in all these agencies need to be aligned to support this effort. This examination is viewed by the employee team as an opportunity to build on this success to improve and strengthen the research process throughout the organiztion
