Abstract

Iowa farm land rental rates for whole farms averaged $102 an acre in 1981, up $6 from 1980. The greatest increase, $12 an acre, was in the northeast district. Increases ranged from no increase in the southwest to $12 in the northeast district. Cropland rental rates averaged $113 an acre in 1981, an increase of $6. Greatest increase was $14 in the northeast. Rental rates are based on a survey made about March 1 from approximately 1000 tabulated reports from land owners and farm operators in their localities. District rental rates were weighted to the Stat e average by district all land in farms.
