Abstract
This report presents the initial results of a study to evaluate the economic feasibility of a major coal producing industry in Iowa. Further analyses are being conducted to evaluate the impact of technological advancements and changing market forces on the potential development of the Iowa coal industry. The results of these analyses will be forthcoming in additional publications.
