Abstract
The following guidance and requirements have been documented to provide a clear understanding of the operational impacts from moderate to high volume commercial access connections. Although traffic volumes are a key factor, the Iowa Department of Transportation may request an impact analysis for lower volume accesses if the highway has been determined, at the sole discretion of the Department, to be nearing capacity. The purpose of this document is to establish uniform guidelines for preparing a traffic impact analysis.
