Abstract
Passed by the 2002 General Assembly, Senate File 2293 set new requirements for the location and expansion of confinement feeding operations and for the land application of manure. One of these changes added high quality water resources to the protected areas from certain manure application practices and as Items 10 and 35 on the master matrix, a system used to rate potential locations for confinement feeding operations needing a construction permit.
