Abstract
The Iowa Department of Public Health’s SNAP-Ed program supports farm to school activities to improve nutrition behaviors among children. We teach children where food comes from and how it grows. We give students hands-on experiences with fresh, local fruits and vegetables. Our support increases access to healthy foods for low-income children.
