Abstract
During 1977, the Travel Development Division and the Resource and Support Division of the Iowa Development Commission worked with five communities to determine the economic impact of their events on their local area and the State of Iowa. The Estherville Winter Snow Festival, Cherokee Memorial Weekend Rodeo, Midwest Old Settlers & Threshers Reunion, Fort Atkinson Rendezvous and the National Dairy Cattle Congress were studied.
