Abstract
The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is conducting a planning study of the rural por-tions of Interstate 80 across Iowa to best address safety and mobility needs of all freight and passenger travelers (i.e., Planning Study). This study is being conducted using the federally adopted Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study process. The Planning Study will allow near-term improvements to be planned, designed, and as funding is available, constructed in accordance with the long-term plan.
