Abstract

This study was completed in accordance with Item 1:1, Page -3 of the "Guide for Forecasting Traffic on Interstate System for the 1965. Procedures used were generally as discussed beginning on Page 4 of the Highway Planning Program Manual. In view of the continuing need for research in connection with the traffic usage of the interstate system, this study was initiated to determine factors of generation and diversion and to collect other traffic data. It was felt that the corridor from Sioux Falls to Sioux City would be ideally suited for study.
