Abstract
To provide coordination for the division and branches within the Department of Public Instruction dealing with the special needs population. Also to provide coordination between the DPI and agencies with the federal government structure and private organizations serving the special needs population. The Coordinating Unit will be composed of representatives of all DPI divisions and branches dealing with handicapped and disadvantaged. They will meet on a weekly basis funds for the operation of the Coordinating Unit will come from the individual programs of the individuals constituting the Coordinating Unit.
