Abstract
This course of study is one of a series of curriculum publications to be presented to the high schools of the state from time to time by the Department of Public Instruction. It has been prepared by a subject committee of the Iowa High School Course of Study Commission working under the immediate direct ion of an Executive Committee. If it is of concrete guidance to the teachers of the state in improving the outcomes of instruction, the major objective of all who have contributed to its construction will have been realized.
