Abstract

The Cherokee Board of Supervisors requested assistance from the Local Government Personnel Service Center of the State of Iowa's Office for Planning and Programming. This help was to be in the form of a comprehensive personnel management proposal and was to be derived from an in-depth study of approximately 70 employees. Due to a backlog of projects, this study was not begun until October of 1977. At that time, a newly constituted Board of Supervisors again endorsed the need for a personnel management plan and this document is the end result of the study that was conducted.
