Abstract
The purpose of this research was to answer two questions: 1. What is the impact of the recycle of the high-strength waste streams in terms of increased oxygen consumption and sludge production? 2. How effective is the anaerobic filter in treating the recycle flow from thermal sludge conditioning and what loading criteria are indicated for such applications?
