Abstract
The original objective of the storage programs in 1933 was to operate them as price stabilization programs to stabilize the prices of farm products against year-to-year Variations in production. The reason for this is that the low farm-income problem is the result not only of a continuous over supply of farm products but also of a continuous oversupply of farmers. This oversupply results from the high birth rate on farms and the decline in the demand for farmers as farming becomes mote mechanized.
