Abstract
The first of these studies was a load survey on a case-study basis conducted in 1950-51. Although considerable information was obtained, only 16 farms from a small area were metered. The farms used were chosen on basis of ownership of major appliances without any attempt at random selection. The following study of farm load characteristics was designed to overcome some of the limitations in the previous one.
