Abstract

The analysis in this report leads to the following findings: The feed grains that went into stocks would have been fed to livestock. The consumption of feed grains by livestock would have had to be 6.3 percent greater than it was. If the increases in the stocks of wheat had also been fed, the consumption of grains by livestock would have increased 10.3 percent. The estimates of the effects on grain and livestock prices of feeding these extra quantities.
