Abstract

This project of which the present study is a part was initiated to find rational solutions to this dairy marketing problem. This particular study, the relationship between costs of manufacturing butter from whole milk and volume of production are analyzed. Specifically, costs are determined for the various operations beginning with the receipt of the whole milk through the manufacturing and packaging operations which prepare the product for sale as bulk butter.
