Abstract

The following report presents specific drug information for Fiscal Year 1974 using comparisons, trends and graphs, with additional information for Fiscal Years 1972 and 1973. The tables provide specific information for the past fiscal year while the graphs and charts give a broader picture of what has actually happened within this segment of the drug program over the past three fiscal years. Information for this report was compiled from two sources. The primary source was the Monthly Title XIX run that is sent from the carrier, Hospital Service Inc. of Iowa and Iowa Medical Service (Blue Cross/Blue Shield). The secondary source was the Iowa Department of Social Service's Monthly Certification. Combining the information from these two sources allowed an in depth look at the drug picture.
