Abstract
Adolescent health has been an integral part of Iowa Department of Public Health activities for many years. Presently, we have two successful adolescent health demonstration projects that are in their sixth year of funding. The department is involved with the development of School Based Youth Services Programs (SBYSPs) with special emphasis on the primary health care component. Adolescence: A Continuum from Childhood to Adulthood is intended to be a resource on adolescence for health care providers and others who work with Iowa's youth.
