Abstract
During the past year expanded efforts between the Department of Social Services Division of Mental Health Resources and the Iowa Mental Health Authority to coordinate central staff functions have been accomplished. Regular meetings have been expanded and operational activities undertaken. The Iowa Mental Health Authority established goals and objectives which expanded its capabilities. During FY 1977 an interim State Advisory Council was appointed by the Committee on Mental Hygiene, the Board of Directors of the Iowa Mental Health Authority. This interim Council was to be appointed through June 30, 1977 in order to enable the Committee on Mental Hygiene to delineate the role of the Council in its advisory functions and that of the Committee regarding its policy functions.
