Abstract

This model policy, renamed "Educators' Responsibilities for Student Records," has incorporated requirements for handicapped students from the Education for All Handicapped Children Act with the Family Rights and Privacy Act requirements. Additions and modifications to the original policy are marked with an asterisk in the left column. Also for your reference, a compliance checklist has been added and is located at the back of the model policy. Your district, your individual building, or AEA can use this list to determine areas which still need attention.
