Abstract
School patrons in Iowa are, however, beginning to approve reorganizations of their local districts at a record rate. We have led the nation during the past four years in; (a) the reduction in number of districts of all types (high school and non-high school); (b) the elimination of high schools with inadequate programs of education; and (c) the decrease in number of one-room rural schools. This fine progress in solving our most critical public school problem is largely due to the constructive leadership of county and local administrators and school boards, teachers, and informed lay citizens.
