Abstract

The method of voting traditional paper ballots, voting machines, electronic voting system--can make a difference in the outcome of an election. The mechanics of voting can influence the total number of voters who come to the polls, how effectively they register their choices, and how many votes are cast for various offices and questions on the ballot. These are the chief results of the research presented in this report. The importance of these findings merit careful study and thought on the part of election officials, political leaders, reporters and editors, and citizens generally.
