Abstract

The major purpose of this publication is to show the process by which ideas become accepted. This diffusion process will be discussed from three points of view: 1. The stages through which an individual goes from the time he first learns of an idea until he adopts it, and the media which are most effective at these various stages. 2. Some situational and group influences affecting adoption. 3. Some of the characteristics of farm people as they relate to rate of adoption.
