Abstract
The purpose of this publication is to provide professional educators and interested citizens of the State of Iowa with facts necessary to a better understanding of educational programs for exceptional children. It is important that communities recognize their responsibilities to their gifted children as well as their handicapped children. This publication may be useful in encouraging more groups to give time, effort and understanding to the problems of educating these children who have special needs.
