Abstract
Fundamental research on fertilizer technology has taken on a new significance in recent years as engineers and scientists worldwide move to meet the challenge of providing sufficient food for rapidly increasing populations. For many years a comprehensive program in fertilizer research has been conducted at Iowa State University in the Chemical Engineering Department. This work provides important support to the broad agricultural base which underlies the economy of Iowa and much of the rural United States. Papers reporting the results of fertilizer research appear in a wide variety of publications. This report consolidates under one cover papers which describe work done at Iowa State and which have appeared recently in several technical journals. The papers are reproduced with permission of the original publisher and copyright owner. For convenience of the reader, the papers are divided into groups by research area.
