Abstract
The purpose of town planning is to secure orderly and efficient growth for our cities and towns. Guided by skilled planning, our small cities can grow efficiently and avoid duplicating the costly mistakes that have been made by older cities. Zoning, while a comparatively new idea, is receiving universal recognition as a most important phase of town planning. This booklet describes what zoning is and how it works.
