Abstract
This booklet explains the common causes of many fires in Iowa communities and expresses the need for better regulations and codes in towns to prevent fires in buildings. Fire departments need to work with the citizens in their towns to educate them about what can be done to prevent fires and how they can support the fire department to help them do a better job.
