Abstract
This brief review is compiled to answer the quandary in the mind of every sportsman and devotee of out-door recreation and to promote a clearer understanding of the problems which lie ahead. The narration has been arbitrarily divided into three sections. The first portion deals with fisheries activities in Iowa from 1862 to 193 1. T he second part describes the work of the Fish and Game Commission which covers the period from April, 193 1 to July, 1935. The third section covers the two and one-half years the State Conservation Commission has existed.
