Abstract
In this 2014 report the World Food Prize Foundation celebrated the Centennial Observance of the birth of Dr. Norman E. Borlaug, Founder of the World Food Prize. A statue of Dr. Borlaug was also unveiled. The goals of the World Food Prize are to inspire and recognize breakthrough achievements around the world in alleviating hunger; carry on a national dialogue on critical issues ih global food security and agriculture; and promote our home state of Iowa in terms of economic development and educational opportunities, and build community engagement to combat hunger in Iowa.
