Abstract
This Briefing provides legal background information relating to the operation of the State of Iowa’s 911 emergency telephone systems as set forth in Iowa Code chapter 34A, which provides for the development, installation, and operation of 911 emergency telephone systems in the state and provides mechanisms for funding such systems.
