Abstract
CVAD wanted to better understand restitution in the state of Iowa. Of particular interest were attitudes among system stakeholders regarding restitution, barriers, and challenges in the ordering of victim restitution, and current processes and practices around the state regarding restitution collection and disbursement. The goals were to better understand how restitution is ordered, collected, and disbursed and to determine whether innovative projects might improve restitution outcomes for victims.
