Abstract
The 1997-1998 edition of Iowa Public Library Statistics includes information on income, expenditure, collections, circulation and other measure including staff. Each section is arranged is arranged by size code, alphabetically by city. The totals and average for each size code grouping are given immediately following the alphabetical listings. Totals and average for all reporting libraries are given at the end at each section. Public library statistics are use at the local, regional, state and national levels to compare library data over time, assist in planning and evaluation. and provide valuable information for grants and other library programs
