Abstract
The Code of Iowa sections 455B.113 and 455B.114 require certification for laboratories performing analyses of samples which are required to be submitted to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) as a result of Iowa Code provisions, rules, operation permits, or Administrative Orders. The following procedures and criteria for certifying laboratories analyzing environmental samples for the Underground Storage Tank Program of the DNR were developed under an agreement between the DNR and the State Hygienic Laboratory (SHL) in order to implement that certification for the underground storage tank (UST) program.
