Abstract
There have been a multitude of studies which attempt to pinpoint the root causes of the gap between the supply and demand for middle-skilled workers. Some claim there is simply a shortage of people available for work, while others assert the majority of job applicants lack the appropriate skills needed to perform the required duties of vacant positions.
