Abstract
The Iowa Oral Health Plan 2016-2020 was developed with input from stakeholders across Iowa and is intended to serve as a guide for oral health strategies in the state over the next five years. This plan is considered to be a working document, and revisions will be made as necessary to reflect changes in Iowa’s oral health priorities and environment. The process of developing this state oral health plan began in November of 2014 with a strategic planning forum. This forum used a standardized procedure from the Children’s Dental Health Project, consisting of a Policy Consensus Tool and a trained facilitator, to prioritize the most pressing oral health issues in Iowa.
