Abstract
This document should generate as many questions as answers about Iowa’s top health issues. Using these six reports to compare Iowa’s performance on a nationally recognized set of health-related indicators with the performance of other states and the nation is one of many steps we can take to identify important health-related issues. Other considerations include studying trends over time; making comparisons with other achievable benchmarks; exploring additional disparities; reviewing other reports, topics, and data sources; and having ongoing conversations with those interested in improving health in Iowa and the nation.
