Abstract
Research on class size is often inconclusive and controversial. Part of the controversy stems from the variety of ways class size is measured or estimated. The most accurate measure of class size is based on the actual number of students in a typical classroom. The purpose of this study was to determine an accurate measure of class size in Iowa schools.
