The testers met with the same loan officer. The loan officer offered to calculate payments for the white tester but not the African American tester. The loan officer offered to pre-qualify the white tester but not the African American tester.
Test 2
The African American tester inquired at the reception desk about auto loans. The receptionist stated that someone would be with him in a minute. The receptionist did not offer the tester a seat. The tester stood for 6 minutes before the loan officer came out to assist him. While the African American tester waited, a white customer came in and approached the reception desk. The receptionist offered the white customer a seat.

Test 1
The tester posed as a single person with a child and inquired about a one-bedroom apartment. The manager said the tester could fill out an application but it would be up to the owner's discretion whether a parent with one child would be allowed in the one-bedroom apartment.
A second test was conducted with a tester posing as a married person with no children, and the manager did not mention that the owner may have a problem with two people in a one bedroom apartment.
