Abstract
Iowa American Revolution Bicentennial Commission from its beginning in July 1970 to date. The IARBC has made significant progress and has established the basis for a worthwhile celebration of American freedom in 1976 and continuing years. The most difficult task has been to develop a sense of timeliness -- to get people involved early -- almost everyone recognizes the value of the Bicentennial, but they do not realize the years it takes to plan properly.
