Abstract

The State of Iowa is required to publish an Action Plan for Disaster Recovery (Action Plan) that describes the proposed use of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding associated with the Consolidated Security, Disaster Assistance, and Continuing Appropriations Act, 2009 (Public Law 110-329), for disaster relief of unmet needs resulting from tornadoes and flooding in the state. This Action Plan will be used by the state to guide the distribution of $125,000,000 of CDBG Disaster Recovery Funding toward meeting unmet housing, infrastructure, business, public service, public facility, and other needs in counties designated as Presidential Disaster Areas, as directed by Public Law 110-329 and HUD.
