Abstract
Between July 13th, 2020-November 1st, 2020, the Iowa Department on Aging contracted with Central Iowa Shelter and Services to provide food truck meals to Iowans age 60+ utilizing $49,714.19 CARES Act COVID-19 relief funds. As a result, 10,847 meals were served to older Iowans from thirteen local Food Truck Restaurants in thirteen different locations in Des Moines, Iowa. These locations were strategically chosen to reach older Iowans with the highest needs. Participants were given high quality meal choices.
