Once again the need for monies becomes a great concern to the Iowa Civil Rights Commission. With an increasing caseload, the hard facts of the need for more staffing becomes evident. Legislative appropriations for this fiscal year were increased by $24,850 over the past year.
In an effort to alleviate the backlog, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) budgets a yearly appropriation to the Iowa Civil Rights Commission which provides an additional four compliance staff and three clerical personnel.
The funding for the 1974-1975 fiscal year is as follows:
