Federal Contracts
Investigations. The Iowa
Civil Rights Commission contracts yearly with the Equal Employment Opportunity
Commission (EEOC) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD),
federal civil rights agencies responsible for enforcing federal employment
and housing anti-discrimination laws. ICRC contracts to investigate and
make determinations on cross-filed complaints.
In Fiscal Year 1988, ICRC received
$365,080 from EEOC for completed investigations on Title VII and Age Discrimination
in Employment complaints, and $59,575 from HUD for completed housing investigations.
