COMPLIANCE DIVISION

The Compliance Division continued to streamline its case processing procedures by adopting a new procedure called administrative review. This new procedure allows the agency to periodically review a complaint to determine whether further processing is warranted. In addition, more emphasis was placed on mediating complaints. These efforts resulted in decreasing the average case processing time and more cases resolved than compared to FY 1983.

The agency promulgated administrative rules on complaint processing. These rules are contained in the section "FY 1984 Administrative Rules."

The following defines the complaint process with charts to illustrate FY 1984 activities in each stage.
