The Commission's FY 1986 state
budget was $807,813 as compared to $776,260 in FY 1985. The Commission began
the process of fully implementing the
IBM System 36 computer The agency's
office work has been streamlined and significantly reduced as a result.
In the budgetary area, legislative liaison efforts resulted in a $50,000.00 increase for the agency's appropriations for FY 1987. Further, as a result of a grant proposal submitted to the Iowa Lawyer Trust Account Commission; the Commission was awarded $23,350 for the development of computer software, which will serve as an aide in the investigation of complaints.
