Filing
Filing occurs when the Commission receives in writing a statement
which contains allegations of discrimination in violation of the
"Iowa Civil Rights Act."
The Commission has the power and duty:
"to receive, investigate, and finally determine the merits
of complaints alleging unfair or
discriminatory practices."
Iowa Code section 216.5(2).
Any person claiming to be aggrieved by a discriminatory or
unfair practice may file a complaint
with the Commission.
